Online lessons

All my lessons were in person until the pandemic hit, when I quickly pivoted to online lessons. At the time, it seemed like an unfortunate necessity, and a temporary measure that we just needed to get through. However, after months of teaching this way, my students and I have found that it can have tremendous benefits: you can use your own instrument, there’s no commute, and you can do your lessons from anywhere, even a different city.

You don’t need a lot of special equipment. In fact, you most likely have everything you need already.

Here’s all you need — it’s easy!

1. a high speed internet connection

We can do lessons over Facetime, Zoom, Skype, or whatever works best for you. You don’t need to install any apps or create any accounts. I will just email or text you a link to click on, and then we’ll be connected.

2. a computer or smartphone

It’s best if you can position the computer/laptop/ipad or smartphone as it is in the photo on this page so that I can see your hands on the piano.

3. a piano or keyboard

It’s wonderful to be able to take lessons using your own instrument.
